Cell proliferation profile of the gelatin-coated coverslips, pristine PCL and functionalized PCL surfaces after 1, 3, 5 and 7 days of incubation at 37 °C in a 5 % CO2 atmosphere as determined by the AlamarBlue™ (AB) assay. Data is presented as means ± SD. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 compared to the pristine PCL substrates. The proliferation rate of HUVECs seeded on the PCL-g-P(GMA)-c-gelatin surfaces was significantly improved as compared to the pristine PCL and PCL-g-P(GMA) film surfaces
