AFM images of TiO2 with rippled surfaces of wavelengths a λ = 125 nm and b λ = 52 nm after protein adsorption. The adsorbed proteins are clearly seen (markings) and seem to be assembled in globular conformation for long wavelength samples, while proteins could not be observed for smaller wavelengths by AFM
